A teacher asks her students if they're Yankees fans. All of the hands go up except for one student.
"Okay, Bobby. What team are you a fan of?"
"The Red Sox."
"Why's that?"
"Well, my parents are both Red Sox fans, so I'm a Red Sox fan too."
"That's not a good answer, Bobby. If your parents were both morons, would you be a moron too?"
"No, that would make me a Yankees fan!"

It's been a little chilly lately, and with the advent of the cold, I have also been plagued by stray cats at my apartment complex. Ugh. There's one particular black cat that has decided to adopt me, regardless of how I feel about him. When it gets particularly cold, this cat will run up the stairs behind me and try to dart into my apartment when I'm getting home for the evening. Yesterday, he was lying in wait, almost as if he knew our office had closed early, due to weather. Nothing I do can shake this monster. I've tried shoving (not kicking) him with my foot, stamping my feet at him, chasing him down the stairs ... and he still tries to get in! Seriously, I have never encouraged this thing. I've never paid it any attention, fed it, tried to pet it ... nothing. And yet it wants to mooch off my warm apartment. Yesterday, after I squeezed through my door, the cat jumped up on my kitchen window and started clawing at the screen. I think I'm going to have to talk to the management about taking this thing away. What a pain in the arse!!!
