unexpected snow

Mom suggested I put this link up to show you how much snow we got Wednesday night. It came as a total shock, especially since I got caught while doing my laundry. I had put my sheets in the dryer, and when I went back an hour later to collect them, the ground was completely covered in snow that was falling sideways in huge clumps. It was gorgeous falling, but even more beautiful at 6:30 the next morning when I had to go scrape the ice off my car. I figured it was best to bundle up before I got my shower and dressed for work, and it really was quite peaceful. The light hit the quiet snow with just the right amount of grey. Anyway, the pictures are of Elon all covered in snow. And since Elon is a million times prettier than my apartment complex and the big pile o' mud that it has become (they took out all the grass and are planning to re-landscape this spring; in the mean time, it's nasty), I thought you might enjoy the view that I got to see nearly every winter for four years.
